床はモノトーンのタイルで統一し、壁はグレートーンで構成。形態は直線と曲線の純粋なバランスを意識し、随所にRを取り入れることで空間にやわらかな余白を生み出している。ミニマムなディテールの引き戸を採用し、視線が抜ける構成とすることで面積以上の広がりと流動性を確保した。住まいでありながら、ギャラリーのような静けさを持つ空間を目指している。

住み主さんが所有されている家具はすべてフォルムに強い個性を持つもの。ヴェルナー・パントンの“Panton Chair”、ハリー・ベルトイアの“Diamond Chair”が彫刻的な存在感を放ち、マイケル・アナスタシアデスの“IC Lights”、ヴェルナー・パントンの“Panthella”が空間に詩的な光を添える。背景が静かな分、家具や照明の輪郭がより明確に浮かび上がる構成としている。

Renovation of a 75.59㎡ condominium unit

The flooring is unified in monotone tiles, while the walls are composed of subtle gray tones. The spatial composition is built on a pure balance between straight lines and gentle curves. The introduction of R-shaped corners throughout softens the overall atmosphere and creates moments of spatial relief. Minimal-detail sliding doors are used to ensure visual continuity, allowing the space to feel more expansive and fluid than its actual size. While this is a residence, the aim was to create an atmosphere with the quietude and clarity of a gallery.

The furniture, all personally owned by the resident, consists of sculptural pieces with distinct forms.Verner Panton’s Panton Chair, and Harry Bertoia’s Diamond Chair each make a bold yet harmonious statement within the space. Michael Anastassiades’s IC Lights, and Verner Panton’s Panthella adds a poetic glow. The quietness of the background allows the silhouettes of the furniture and lighting to stand out more vividly.
