Apartment Renovation / Floor Area: 60㎡
Layered Scene — a composition where vertical shifts create depth and a variety of spatial experiences.
This renovation reconfigures a 50-year-old apartment unit by maximizing the use of its compact footprint through a custom-built loft.
The upper level serves as a semi-raised bedroom with a sense of openness, while the lower level is designed as a multipurpose space for study or creative work.
What was once a tatami room is now finished with wood flooring, and a former closet has been repurposed into a dressing area.
Subtle changes in level and material define zones and gently guide movement and sightlines, allowing a rich sequence of scenes to unfold within a small interior.
