都市生活は、視覚情報も音も物も、常に過剰である。
築40年を超える千駄ヶ谷のこの住まいでは、その情報過多に対するカウンターとして、空間を白で統一した。
白は「何もない」ための禁欲ではなく、余計なノイズをいったんゼロに戻し、
光と影、輪郭とプロポーションを立ち上げるための装置である。
ここでいう 白抜（はくぬけ） とは、空間から要素を奪うことではなく、
抜けを成立させるために白を用いるという態度にほかならない。

そのうえで本計画が目指したのは、静けさの中に“抜け”を積み上げること。
視線が奥へ通り、風が抜け、浴室を含む回遊動線が生活の奥行きをつくる。バルコニーという外部の余白を取り込みながら、
49.68㎡の内部を「広げる」のではなく「深める」構成とした。

夜は間接照明によって陰影を残し、白い面に表情を刻ませる。住まい手の暮らしが乗った瞬間、白はノイズも拾いやすい。
だからこそ、この空間には“余白の作法”が必要になる。
しかし、その緊張感も含めて、都市の過剰さから距離を取るための、静かな住まいの提案である。

Urban life is constantly excessive—visually, acoustically, and materially.
In this Sendagaya residence, located in a condominium over 40 years old, the interior is unified in white as a countermeasure to that overload. White is not an ascetic pursuit of “nothingness.” It is an instrument that resets surplus noise to zero, allowing light and shadow, edges, and proportions to emerge with clarity. Here, Hakūnuke (White Void) does not mean stripping the room of elements; it is an attitude of using white to make “openness” and spatial release possible.

What this project sought, then, was to accumulate “voids” within stillness. Sightlines extend deep into the plan, air flows through, and a circulating route—including the bathroom—creates lived depth. By incorporating the balcony as an exterior margin, the 49.68 m² interior is not “expanded,” but deepened.

At night, indirect lighting preserves shadow, letting subtle expressions be inscribed onto the white surfaces. Once daily life inhabits the space, white can easily pick up visual noise; this is precisely why a discipline of margin is required. Yet that tension is part of the proposal: a quiet dwelling that creates distance from the excess of the city.

お風呂からバルコニーを一望でき、空気の流れも確保してジメジメしないように。
You can overlook the balcony from the bath, and ensure the air flow so that it does not get damp.

お風呂から洗面そして玄関まで、抜けがあります。回遊できるプランです。
You can see from the bath to the washroom and the entrance.　In addition, it is a plan that you can pass through.

白い壁にテレビを取り付けると出っ張りが気になるので、掘込をもうけました。
If you install a TV on a white wall, you will be worried about the protrusion, so I made a groove.

夜は自然光とはまた違う、人工照明の陰影を楽しめます。

天井には極力照明を設置しないように。
Avoid installing direct lighting on the ceiling as much as possible.
