宮脇檀 設計による当マンションの空間構成や今では手に入らないような建材、建具、設えに敬意を払い、
本質的な素材のみを厳選して一部空間の再構築を行なった。
建物の骨格を引き立たせながらも、住み主さんのスタイルを反映するためにはと対話を重ね、
床に玄昌石を貼ることに至った。
石本来の持つ黒の質感、回転扉による大胆な部屋の間仕切り方式、
既製品に頼らない職人たちの持つ力により成立するする空間は程よく緊張感があり心地が良い。

Apartment Renovation: Exclusive Area 72.88 m²
Designed by Dan Miyawaki, this apartment renovation pays homage to the space’s layout, now-unobtainable building materials, fittings, and fixtures, by selecting only the essential materials for a partial reconstruction of the space.
In highlighting the building’s framework while reflecting the homeowner’s style through ongoing discussions, we decided to lay Gensho stone on the floor.
The natural black texture of the stone, the bold room partitioning method using a revolving door, and the space created by the craftsmen’s ability to work without relying on ready-made products combine to create a comfortably tense atmosphere.
