照縦/Vertical Light/Shintomicho
天井高3メートルを超える吹き抜け空間に、光のラインを縦に通す。
黒と白の切り替えが構成の軸となり、天井の高さと開放感を視覚的に際立たせる。
照明は単に照らすのではなく、空間の奥行きやリズムをつくる装置として計画されている。
縦方向に走る光の軸線が、伸びやかなスケール感を引き出しながらも、空間に一定の緊張をもたらす。
“照縦”とは、光を垂直に構成することで空間を静かに編み上げるという姿勢。
白の広がりと黒の輪郭が、照度と陰影のバランスのなかで立ち現れ、
抽象的で清廉な、もうひとつの「高さの感覚」を呼び起こす。
In a double-height space with ceilings exceeding three meters, lines of light are drawn vertically. The contrast between black and white becomes a structural axis, visually amplifying the sense of height and openness. Lighting here is not merely illumination—it is a tool for composing rhythm and depth. A vertical beam of light pulls the eye upward, reinforcing a spacious scale while introducing a quiet tension. “Shōjū”, or Vertical Light, reflects an attitude of composing space through vertical illumination. White surfaces expand, black edges frame, and between them emerges a delicate balance of brightness and shadow— awakening a refined, abstract sense of verticality.
